SHEQ Auditing Sessions A Huge Success

November 26th, 2009

In order to register as an Auditor, you will need to submit an audit log with at least 120 completed audit hours (as required by ISO19011) . This should be done in the presence of a registered Lead Auditor.

Christel Fouche explains why it makes sense to attend Advantage ACT’s SHEQ Auditing Sessions.

Christel explains how our SHEQ Auditing Sessions can help you get 120 auditing hours.

You have probably an ISO/OHSAS auditors course, but how do you gain the practical auditing experience to allow you to register as an auditor?

Our SHEQ Auditing Sessions are designed to assist occupational health and safety, environmental or quality auditors-in-training to complete 120 auditing hours in the presence of a SAATCA registered Lead Auditor.

During a typical SHEQ Auditing Session of 5-days, candidates will complete 30 auditing hours. A different organisation and site is visited every day of the week.

At the end of an Auditing Session, candidates will receive a certificate stating the auditing hours completed.

Why should you attend the Advantage ACT Auditing Sessions?

  • During a 5-day auditing session you will have the opportunity to audit a different site each day and generate 30 hours’ practical experience per week.
  • Visiting sites drawn from different industry sectors will broaden your perspective and experience.
  • If you attend four auditing sessions, it is possible to complete 120 auditing hours in the space of one year.
  • Audits are conducted in the presence of a SAATCA lead auditor.
  • You will be sponsored by the lead auditor towards becoming a SAATCA auditor.
  • Gain new insights into, and knowledge of auditing from fellow team members.

Judging from the candidates that already attend the current sessions as well as the amount of enquiries we receive about this programme, this is a huge success.

Due to the structure of such an event, only a limited number of candidates can be accepted on any one of the Auditing Sessions.

So, if it is your goal to become a registered auditor in your field of expertise in 2010, we urge you to contact us as soon as possible on 012 809 4210 or sheq@advantageact.co.za
