Despite the difficult economic times, clients still supported the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality courses presented at the new venue.

The Advantage ACT training centre, located on the outskirts of the Silver Lakes Golf Estate in Pretoria, features secure parking and four well-equiped training venues that can seat around 50 learners with ease.

Our training centre provide clients with an opportunity to experience the Advantage ACT difference, our hospitality, and the abillity of our facilitators to provide  training that can compare with the best in the World.

In support of this new innitiative, the Advantage ACT staff participated in emergency preparedness planning that included fire-fighting and first-aid training.

We are now all ready to ensure our visitors and guests enjoy their stay in a safe and healthy environment.

Stations are a pleasure to walk in. The toilets are clean and well located. The security on the train and at the stations are exemplary and the help of the administrative staff when purchasing tickets are a pleasure to experience. You can sense that the employees are proud of the Gautrain and are proud to be associated with this South African icon.

“We took a trip from Sandton to Rhodesfield that took 12 minutes in total to complete. What a pity it ended so quickly.” said Christel.

The train was clean and well designed inside and the ride on the track was smooth and very fast. “We would have liked to stay longer and will certainly go back to experience it again”.

On the return trip to Sandon, our compartment was full of South Africans and World Cup visitors. It was nice to see so many people already using the service. One could sense that everyone was impressed with what was accomplished. “It makes one feel proud to be a South African.”

As part of the registration process, SAATCA will evaluate the course and course facilitation by attending the next Integrated SHEQ Lead Auditors course that will be held at the Advantage ACT Training Centre from 12-16 July 2010.

In addition, Advantage ACT has applied for the registration of our OHSAS18001 Lead Auditor, ISO9001 Lead Auditor and ISO14001 Lead Auditor courses with SAATCA.

As part of the registration process, a SAATCA representative will also attend the next courses:

• ISO9001 Lead Auditors > 27 September-1 October 2010
• ISO14001 Lead Auditors > 1-5 November 2010

The Zero to Hero SHE Legislation is a marathon 3-week program designed to cover South African Safety, Health and Environmental Legislation.

The program is designed to be interactive and there are ample opportunity for deligates to discuss and receive clarety on the questions they have.

It was decided to facilitate the next 3-week program over the following dates: 6-10 September (week1), 11-15 October (week2) and 15-19 November 2010 (week3).

Based on the verification, validation and analysis performed by Empowerdex using the information presented, Advantage ACT has been confirmed as a Level Four Contributor.

The audit report also showed that significant progress has been made in the scores for the individual areas that make up the Advantage ACT Score Card being:

• Skills Development
• Preferential Procurement, and
• Socio-Economic Development
